Two things for this community. 1) This is such white ignorance I know, but does anyone know if there is good and fair news that is translated to Spanish? Is there anything to "compete" against a right wing Spanish channel? And 2) I just want to say this: everyone, including EM (whose name I can no longer write, just like T's) says and acts like twitter is just like substack. But most of the people I would like to folllow on substack are switching to paid subscriptions. I am all with Dan, no complaint, but I cannot cought up $70-120 for everyone I want to read. Am feeling greatly frustrated with the whole substack thing. I know people want and need to earn, and yet it is like what is happening on television. Paying for every little thing adds up. Just saying. Not to you Dan; I will pay for your writing always.
Man, Amy, sounds like you’ve got lots to figure out. Thank you for the updating all of us on, uh, your son and how you are dealing with the situation. Keep us posted, or just put it in a story. Wait…
PS I am even paying $5 a month to follow my own son, and we are truly connected as mother and son and friend and friend. But truth! He is a young lawyer exploring his choices and sometimes doing movie reviews etc. I would not miss a single one and gladly support him in a creative endeavor like this. But man!
PPS The Montana situation is greatly troubling and the consequences enormous. And, I really fret over this one, for these children and for our side: "U.S. Was Warned of Migrant Child Labor, but ‘Didn’t Want...." in NYT today, 4.17. I hope that you address this here Dan, and on PSA. What are we to make of this and how to support Biden if this is true, and I assume it is. Maybe we need more context. This does not sound like the Biden admin.
