As a teacher in Wisconsin, these points are going to make it so much simpler to have conversations with folks. I've spent the majority of my summer making phone calls all around the state advocating for folks to request their absentee ballots and these are the conversations that come up. I'm very grateful that you have started this newsletter, as it has already helped immensely in these conversations.
Funny how Donnie seems engaged in only working his base and, if anything, alienating swing voters, more specifically the small cohort that gave him the Electoral College win. Makes one wonder whether he wants to win or just avoid an embarrassing loss.
And maybe his election actions aren't driven by any serious expectation of winning but just because his ego compels him to mount this joke on the campaign. You know; like his ego caused many if not most of the Covid deaths.
Thank you for the talking points and link. I, too, worry about everything 🤯. I simultaneously cannot believe it’s already August of 2020, and that the election is so far away and red wine and exercise only help so much.
thanks, Dan. "It's the pandemic, stupid." keeps playing in my head.
That would have been a better title for this post

Good reality check here and appreciate having the counter messaging handy to use in our own convos/advocacy especially during convention week.

As always, the fact that you include the action points to turn concern into meaningful behavior is appreciated. Keep up the good work, Dan.

Wine is necessary and the exercise is impressive!
Gym time is pod time. 👊🏼
