And, don't forget, Trump fired more than 60 experienced campaign workers including senior staff in the political data and communications departments. And fired local staff running community centers in Black, Asian and Hispanic communities. As a result, Biden has a better ground game, too!
Of course having a good campaign and more money matters. It doesn’t guarantee anything but it’s a nice place to be. Trump may have a better campaign this time around (maybe) but the candidate is trash and hardly campaigning. Biden team should and is making Trump look small and pathetic. In 2016 and 2020 we all made the mistake of leaning too hard into “trump is evil” but many voters don’t care about how that. Instead we need to shatter the strongman persona and remind everyone he’s a sad sundowning old man who will take all your stuff away if elected.
I love it when Joe reminds people that distinguished military officers like General Kelly heard trump say that veterans were "suckers and losers". Our vets and people on active duty need constant reminders of just how much trump hates the. Joe Morales USCG/USN (ret.)
I am glad there seems to be less focus, this year, on the “funny” campaign ads by never-Trump Republicans. While mostly amusing, they were pretty empty as political messages. And while giving most of us a mild chuckle, they seemed to enrage a lot of Trump voters. And in at least one case of an acquaintance, helped to turn a Trump fan into a Trump voter.
I really like Biden’s ads. They focus on very serious issues, but with a focus on how the issue impacts a person in real life.
I love those ads, particularly the bodily freedom ad. The what-freedom-will-they-take-next frame is perfect for state office/state legislature races, particularly in blue states where voters might feel like Dobbs is not such a big threat to them.
And yes, of course we must re-elect Biden, flip the house, and hold the Senate if we can. But woe unto us if we forget state elections. Abandoning the 50-State Strategy is a big part of how we got in this mess in the first place.
Joe’s opening 100 offices in battleground states is an enormous achievement particularly this early. I don’t believe this same strategy has ever been duplicated! The intensity of Democrats to win is demonstrably apparent and it is furthered by the dedication of women at all ages to support ballot initiatives on abortion. This is decidedly a winning ticket. Please also note that in several key states such as AZ and Fl that legalization of weed is also on the ballot which will draw additional support from younger voters. The ballot initiatives won’t be completed for another two months so watch that space!
Trump is now going to "charge" down ballot Republicans at least 5% if they use his name or image. I'm sure this will go over well and will continue to drain money from every other Republican on any ballot.
Recently saw a FB post of groceries on the check out belt questioning Build Back Better because the small number of groceries cost a lot. Most responders focused on the bread brand and the organic produce as the reason for the cost, which just put the poster on the defensive. But I think it would be better to commiserate with the cost but put the onus on corporate price gauging and then noting that with Biden, there's some corporate accountability and the promise to make big business pay more in taxes. Right?
Reporters are saying that Trump has decided to hire Manafort and Lewandowski to manage the convention. We can only hope that this pair of grifters injects some chaos into the campaign and some disunity into the professionals now running his campaign.
I am curious as to whether Ivanka and Jared are snubbing the campaign this time or the campaign professionals have somehow successfully kept these spoiled hucksters at bay.

Seems like this will have the unintended consequence of those campaigns NOT using his image, a win for Dems!
