I'm still in the 'disinformation' portion of the book, so I think that's to be expected. The delightful footnotes are helping a lot, so thank you for those. I'm excited to continue reading!

I read that the Justice Department has filed a superseding indictment charging Proud Boys leader Henry “Enrique” Tarrio and four colleagues with up to ten criminal counts, including seditious conspiracy and conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding. A grand jury had already indicted and charged them with a list of crimes. This filing adds to that. The other conspirators are "known to the Grand Jury".
The January 6 Committee will be on prime-time TV Thursday evening, and it's rumored that the hearings will start with new revelations, not just about who broke into the capital, but who conspired to make it happen.

My other question. Do I have enough popcorn for both Dan's book and the hearings?
Dan I got mine today. I am happy but I must have goofed up. I preordered the book to get the autographed copy (a very early preorder) but my copy arrived without your brand on it. Was it wrong to order from AMAZON? I am still happy I assigned it to my PROPAGANDA AND PERSUASION class this Fall semester.

This narrative INFURIATES me. Like, blinds me with incandescent rage. Nobody ever mentions that she won in 2014 by THIRTY-SEVEN POINTS.
THIRTY-SEVEN.
She won in 2020, yes, and by a comfortable margin, and those of us working against her election were both surprised and pretty fucking unhappy with that. But the state of Maine by NO means rubber-stamped Susan Collins's reelection, and it really chaps my ass that no one in the mainstream media ever frames that election as her losing almost 30 points of her 2014 margin.
It MATTERS. It doesn't change the fact that she's a Senator right now, but how we talk about these things MATTERS.
Looking in the mail today--but I have already selected the book (sight unseen) as a text book for my course this Fall Semester, PROPAGANDA AND PERSUASION. So--I think this is a good gamble--and will bring currency and light to our political world. I am confident! (And the course is pre-registered at 25 students at this time. Pretty good--and room for more in September).
