As usual, R's try to negate their own weakness by manufacturing accusations against D's of the same--a corrupt President, grifting children...and now the age thing.

I'm glad Biden isn't running away from this, and using humor. But how about tying the same millstone around Trump's neck? They are nearly the same age, which somehow is rarely mentioned. Is it too much to hope that Biden will ocassionally get in a dig to remind voters of this? "Yes, Donald Trump and I are both old...but only one of us is crazy."

Love the Biden ad! (I refuse to watch Trump ads. My stomach can’t handle it).

I am a little surprised by the media coverage about how Biden “brought the heat”, etc. I thought he was just acting like himself. People who believe the Biden in decline narrative must have never actually observed Biden. How could they be so ignorant about a person who has been in the public eye for 50 years?

I have been hearing friends who are centrist Dems talking about Biden and decline, including a good friend of ours - educated, smart, should know better, and one of my sisters, who isn't as educated, but who experiences a mix of news - but not much that is favorable to Biden. They are gettable, but both of them have expressed that they think there is no hope. Of course, neither of them watched the SOTU... I hope Biden's appearances include MSM like Good Morning America and sports channels. I think it might help. And of course, Message Box and PSA...

Continuing my daily letters to the Times, below is an article from today edition by Shane Goldmacher who has been down on Biden for months.

"The Biden-Trump Rerun: A Nation Craving Change Gets More of the Same The Biden-Trump Rerun: A Nation Craving Change Gets More of the Same" https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/09/us/politics/trump-biden-presidential-campaign-2024.html?smid=nytcore-android-share

Here's my letter to Shane Goldmacher----------------------------------------------------------------Thanks for your article explaining that "Americans" want "change" not the same old guys running again. I don't know who or how many Americans you've spoken to lately, but there are millions of Americans (81 million in 2020) thrilled that Joe Biden is running again. So is the Democratic party leadership. Did you guys watch SOTU and miss that point? His first term record has been great. I am so thankful he's giving 4 more years of service this late in his life to continue moving America forward.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yours Merrill Weingrod 4014808003 Let's keep up the pressure.

I worry that "Biden is Old" will become the "Hillary's Emails" of the 2024 campaign---a relative nothingburger that gets blown up by the press into an issue that carves off enough votes that Trump *again* pulls off an electoral college victory.

Age is only relevant insofar as it affects his ability to do the job. So how's he's been doing the job? Pretty frigging good and *way* better than Trump did. That should be the end of the story. Instead we see story after story with nothing new added, creating an echo chamber that magnifies this non-issue instead of letting it dissipate. Polls show voters concerned? Maybe because the press keeps repeating the same story over and over (doing Trumps work for him).

"(...) which, like Message Box, is a staple of the President’s media diet."

lol true they would be better off hiring you back to the WH

(No offense Ben LaBolt, I'm sure you two can get along... right?)

*BTW, sorry for a downer but blood is still flowing in Palestine and Ukraine and in what world does a Mulberry floating pier, ala D Day, make more sense than NOT SHOOTING???? If you don't care about humans, how does that make sense financially?

EDIT: Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck

I want to be wrong. Please, please let me be wrong.

It's not a relief pier, it's an evacuation pier.

How did I not see that??

Today's lotto poll: where is the target country for all of Palestine?

We designed this to app to make it easier to find when something was said in any video. Like when President Biden spoke about women's rights, gun violence or Republicans serving Putin in the State Of The Union address.

The ageism response of Biden’s is the one all democrats can use. Yes, he’s not young. But we’re voting for him because he gets things done. Per abc:

“Look I’m not a young guy,” Biden, 81, says in the ad released Saturday. “That’s no secret. But here’s the deal. I understand how to get things done for the American people.”
