I particularly liked your thoughts about Trump being a weak leader. I think that's right on target. To me, he is like a typical bully -- lots of bluster and claims but he backs down when confronted. As it turned out, after listening to your podcast I began my scheduled evening with the Biden phonebanks and was able to use her messaging and I felt strong, successful, and optimistic when speaking to voters because I had a POSITIVE message. Thank you Dan

It's true that Trump has the memory and attention span of a goldfish and could not more pull off a coup any more than a goldfish could coup its way out of an aquarium.
But there are lots of people around him who are smart, ruthless, and (usually) stealthy. Chief among them: Bill Barr, who arguably has had coup-adjacent thoughts since his first stint as AG under Bush 41.
What do we say to our friends (and ourselves!) when questions come about the dangerous cabal around Trump?
I really appreciate the Message Box's emphasis on MESSAGING, because I'm in this weird place right now where I'm in a full-blown panic (and the merch store is out of stress balls to direct me otherwise!), but I can still fake it and post the right sort of message if someone just points me in the right direction and gives me some tips. So thanks for that. I'm gonna fake it till I make it. Or till it's over. Either or!
